| Ray and I got a chance to spend Sunday together up at our old drummers house, Billy Rodgers. They share the same birthday Nov 2nd. A friend of ours that's also a drummer Mike Palladino is also born on that day. Mike plays with Corduroy Jim and is also a founding member of the mountain funk band Grampa's Chili
I posted some of the Moe's Photos. Steve took over 400 but I think it'll be a while before I can post that many ----------------------- Believin' is alright just don't believe in the wrong thing....Sonny Boy Williamson |

| Press Release
Duane Allman / Berry Oakley Tribute
10/28/2009
Moe’s Alley
1535 Commercial Way
Santa Cruz, CA
For us Allman Brothers band fans there is a time of year when the leaves are falling and we find ourselves in a mood of remembrance. Oct 29th 1971 is a day that lives in infamy for us peach heads. That is the day we lost the musical visionary for the band from Macon Ga. Duane Allman was the spiritual and musical leader of this group of enlightened rouges. As the original Allman Brothers band they averaged 250 -300 dates a year the first 3 years they played. They followed Duane’s every word and believed in his vision. His vision was so strong that it energized the band not only through his passing but one year later they lost another original member Bassist, Raymond “Berry” Oakley, in another tragic motorcycle accident. But the band, with the strength and vision of these two musical and spiritual leaders, pressed on and they today still play too sold out crowds surviving those losses and keeping the flame of Duane’s vision alive.
Idlewild West, on October 28th 2009, will hold a special concert in memory of Duane Allman and Berry Oakley at Moe’s Alley in Santa Cruz, CA. We hope you will join us in this night of music. Idlewild West will perform a show based around the material and arrangements the band played during those first few years they toured. Special Guests Goodlife Rhythm & Blues Revue will open the night with a 45 minute set.
Where: Moe’s Alley 1535 Commercial way, Santa Cruz, CA
Date: October 28th 2009
Time: 9PM
Tickets: $7 Advance, $10 at the door ----------------------- Believin' is alright just don't believe in the wrong thing....Sonny Boy Williamson |

I didn't put up Brown eyed women because it's a dead tune and I'm not sure of legalities
