Oteil & The Peacemakers
Led by famed Allman Bros. bassist Oteil Burbridge, Oteil & The Peacemakers have recently released their album "Believer." This collection of groovy funk, jazz and jam tunes showcases the individual talents of each of the band's members. This album follows their 2005 release, "The Family Secret."
Oteil brings to the stage his funky style and picking prowess from his past experience with Aquarium Rescue Unit and Gov't Mule. In 2003, Oteil picked up a Grammy nod for his songwriting of "Instrumental Illness," from the Allman Bros. Band album "Hittin' The Note."
Lefty Collins & The No Mercy Band - Lefty Collins & The No Mercy Band are definitely not strangers to the stage. For six years they have played as the Chicago House of Blues house band and opened for names like Aerosmith, Bad Company, Z.Z. Top and Jimmy Buffett. Their passionate style and acoustic grace keep audiences entertained from beginning to end.
Donna Hopkins Band - Alabama-born band leader Donna Hopkins, mixes the talent of herself, drummer Richie Jones and bassist Brian Ashley Jones to create the smooth sounds of their Atlanta-bred band. Donna is a triple threat as a singer, songwriter and guitarist, lending her musical talent to the band's two albums, 2003's "Free To Go" and 2005's "Donna Hopkins Band Live." Selected Atlanta's Best Blues Act in 2002 by Atlanta Magazine, Donna and her band have performed at the Geogia Music Hall of Fame most recently.
Matt Barranti Band - The four members of the Matt Barranti Band, based in Pennsylvania, puts soul and purpose into each show, carefully weaving classic covers in with the band's original songs. Their 2003 album is titled "Live at the Bay County Hotel."
GLRBR - Formed over a decade ago, the Goodlife Rhythm & Blues Revue takes old-school blues and gospel and covers it with a rich West coast sound to form a hearty and improvisational show. The San Francisco-based band has two albums, "Tales From The Blues Bunker" and "Jus' Kiddin'" and is currently signed with Goldtop Records.
